GRIET, which has come to be synonymously pronounced with GREAT by the discerning observers and admirers, was established in the year 1997, under the patronage of Gokaraju Rangaraju Educational Society. GRIET was conceived and created by Dr. Gokaraju Ganga Raju, the sprit and force behind the Laila group of Industries, dealing in paper, sugar, pharmaceuticals, computer software, agro-products, exports, finance and entertainment. The vision of GRIET is to be among the best of the institutions for engineers and technologists with attitudes, skills and knowledge and to become an epicentre of creative solutions. and mission is to acheive and impart quality education with an emphasis on practical skills and social relevance. With its mountains and valleys, GRIET is nature's gift to professional education. It is located in a sprawling campus of sixty-five acres in Bachupally village, close to Hyderabad-Mumbai national Highway, and just 4 Kms from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.The college is situated on a lush green hilly plot, consisting of fossil rocks in a serene and tranquil atmosphere, provides the necessary emotional and intellectual inspiration and sustenance to the students and teachers.
