Lumbini Park

Located at a distance of 3 kilometers from the Hyderabad city, Lumbini Park is a worthvisiitng park in Hyderabad. It has been named after the birthplace of Lord Buddha as it is sited opposite the Buddha statue.  The Hussain Sagar Lake is located adjacent to it. The Andhra Pradesh Government established this garden as a part of Buddha Purnima project.

Lumbini Park is an ideal park for relaxation and entertainment. There are some eating joints here which serve fast food along with local dishes.  The main attractions of the park are the colorful Floral Clock, man-made waterfalls and musical fountains. Huge crowds are seen at the musical fountain area. Evening a musical fountain show is organized to the visitors.
While visiting the Lumbini Park one can also explore the adjacent Hussain Sagar Lake and the striking Birla Mandir. Boating facilities are provided at the Hussain Sagar Lake. The park is closed on Monday.
