A.V.Education Society started A.V.College of Arts, Science & Commerce in the year 1968 for meeting the growing needs of higher education in the region. The college owes its existence to the initiative and untiring efforts of its founding fathers Sri K.V.Ranga Reddy and Sri J.V.Narsing Rao both former deputy chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh. At its genesis the college was conceived on a small scale to offer limited traditional courses in Intermediate and Degree. Under the dynamic leadership of Justice K.Madhava Reddy, a legendary figure, a legal luminary and an institution builder, the college has grown from strength to strength and emerged as a premier institution of higher learning in the state with diversified undergraduate and postgraduate courses and research and consultancy activities.
