Improvising the Indian imaging scenario, has been the earnest endeavor of AVER, ever since it began operations in 1983. Even in those early days it realized the immense potential of digital imaging and began the production and import of an array of equipment for the photo lab - including a super-fast range of minilabs. We were also into remote sensing and aerial photography, with high precision, speed and flexibility.
The company has grown exponentially and is completely specialized in digital imaging technology - that offers cost-effective, accurate, image reproduction, quickly and easily. After the acquisition of Sienna Imaging Inc., USA, in May of the year 2003, we have become a force to reckon with in the digital photography lab hardware / software.
In 1987 AVER had the latest and the most efficient technical know-how, world-class operational expertise and comprehensive infrastructure required for manufacturing computerized integrated mini-labs in India. This ensured the phenomenal success of AVER’s ACCS 1200 Mini-Labs, 450A Film Processor and R.T. Sheet Paper-Processors on par with the best imported photographic equipment’s, to India, of well known foreign companies.
Software has always been the heart of Aver. The software division was formally started in 1993. After much R&D, in 1995 AVER formally launched AverMagic, which is a high end image editing software, specially designed to suit the requirements of photo labs, studios and graphic designers, amongst others. The most wonderful thing about this software is that it is a complete image editing software with a vector-based approach for bitmap editing – unlike any other image editing sotware.
After enjoying an enormous success of AverMagic, Aver developed a series of software’s like Velociti Album Designing Software, which allows the user to create Album pages for final Album production. Kiosk Software Solution this Solution allows the user to create Calendars, give special effects, apply frames, Passport photos, Id photos, stickers etc. also The kiosk can be hooked up on a LAN, VPN. Broadcast Management a solution providing for back office automation of Free To Air TV channels. Subscriber Management System this is a complete subscriber management system which can handle large volume of transactions and is linked with real time accounting. I-Office this application is a Mini ERP for SMB segments. Outsight this application is a complete payroll solution integrated with time and attendance module, for which, till date, more than 40 – 50 device manufacturers and models of devices with Serial, Parallel, Barcode, Magnetic, Ethernet, RFID, Smart Card, Biometric have been integrated and supported live. IIMS (Sixth version in progress), this application is a massive ERP for educational institutes and the application has around 2000 reports, 1000+ data entry modules, web interface to handle transactions beyond campus and supports KIOSK based rich clients for various functional purposes. OCELLUS this application is a front / back office management for hospitality industry. Digital Library Management this application is an exhaustive Library management for books and any format of digital content and currently handles more than 1 million transactions per academic year
Later a new improved version of our image editing software called AverMagic Pro was launched. Having established a nation-wide marketing network, our research findings indicated that our sotware was also widely used by digital photo processing labs all over India for instant image modification - here the key word is instant compared to other image editing software, as many of its operations had a one touch simplicity. Additional research led to an enhanced version called AverMagic Pro Plus. Aver also started developing hardware and driver utilities for Densitometer and Pakon Scanner.
Once in the Software/Hardware development arena Aver developed AverTools, IMGFX, Studio Frame Maker, Aver Digital Photo Album, Image Zipper, Upload and Download tool Aver’s nautilus system, Data & Image tool. All of these are sold in the retail market and are highly successful.
Two years down the line Aver introduced the latest in web-enabled software, AverMagic Pro Plus e-9, that incorporates a lossless compression in the ratio of 1000:1 and decompression without loosing any data, this helps in smooth transfer of data and images through the Internet, helping to connect thousands of workstations in the country with the Digital labs
